Full colour UV printing

Our team take pride in our ability to provide the highest quality products and service to our customers. That’s why we’ve recently added one of the best direct-to-substrate print technologies available to our custom printing aresenal.  We have replaced our older UV colour printers with brand new Roland Flatbed UV printers, to enhance your awards with more vibrant colours.  These printers allow us to print directly onto flat surfaces of glass, crystal, plastic, metallic and timber products, creating beautiful, realistic textures and vivid colours with incredible detail.

Adding the visual impact of stunning colour and texture to your awards creates something truly unique and beautiful for your presentation.  UV printing produces a high quality, durable result far superior to colour sublimation, screen printing, paint filling or any other technique used in the industry.

How are your products UV printed?

UV printing is a type of digital printing utilising ultra-violet light to dry or cure ink. As the printer distributes ink onto the material, UV light is applied which immediately cures the ink. Much finer and more vibrant detail is achieved with this multi-layered process because ink is dried before it has a chance to spread out.

Which of your products can be UV printed?

UV printing requires a perfectly flat surface; products with a protruding base cannot pass through the machine unless the base can be removed.  All of our products suitable for UV printing have been clearly labelled on our website and some are also displayed with artwork in full colour.

Why does colour printing cost more?

UV printing is more time intensive and has higher consumable costs than laser engraving.   Laser engraving remains the most cost effective solution for most clients.

Can I see an artwork proof?

Yes.  We will email you an artwork proof of exactly how the colours will look on your award for your approval before we commence any printing.

Will the print scratch?

When the inks are exposed to ultraviolet lights they turn into a solid, with outstanding solvent and abrasion durability.  Of course the print can be damaged if the trophy/award is mistreated, but generally speaking the adhesion to different products is excellent.
